Anthony was born in Hong Kong, the son of a Chinese businessman and his British wife, the daughter of an aristocratic family that had since fallen on hard times. He spent the first thirteen years of his life living in the island's Central District, and his childhood was comfortable, even a little spoiled.
Anthony's father insisted on his taking martial arts lessons from a very early age, maintaining that it would be good discipline for him. Much to his father's pride, he took to it like a duck to water. It was often hard work, but the rewards were worth the effort, and it made his father proud, so he kept at it.
At the age of fourteen, he was sent to boarding school in the United Kingdom. He excelled both on the playing field and in the classroom, but his mixed heritage drove a wedge between him and his classmates. He had a few close friends, but for the most part he was left to himself most of the time. He graduated with both academic and athletic honors, and then went to University to get his degree in business. He continued to keep up with his martial arts training, and at his father's urging he also took shooting lessons, becoming a crack shot with pistols.
After graduation, he found out what his father had been training him for. The company had gained the enmity of one of the Chinese Triads, and it was to be Anthony's job to protect his father's interests from his enemies. It took a little time for Anthony to get his head wrapped around this knowledge, but being a dutiful son, he promised to do his best to fulfill what was expected of him.
Shortly after graduation, Anthony took a job in the California offices of his father's company. It was there that one of his associates introduced him to the Rosicrucians. The Brotherhood was just the thing Anthony had been looking for -- a place where his heritage didn't matter, only what he could do, and he joined the Covenant without reservations. Though he isn't as magically talented as some of his fellows, his martial abilties more than make up for it, and so he has adopted a role as a troubleshooter, as well as acting as a sort of bodyguard for his less-martially inclined allies.
Anthony currently shares an apartment with another member of the local Shrine, a graduate student and stage magician named Aidan Tregarde. Even though Aidan may have the edge in magickal ability, Anthony has genially noted more than once that, "he couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag with a chainsaw and a head start." Therefore, he's taken to providing the physical prowess that his roommate lacks, and sometimes acts as a sort of bodyguard to Aidan when the other Rosicrucian runs into things that his magical abilities can't handle.
Description: At six feet, three inches in height, with broad shoulders and a powerful, muscular build, Anthony cuts an imposing figure. He favors the Asian half of his heritage for the most part, with short-cropped blue-black hair and somewhat olive skin, but these are offset by his startling green eyes, inherited from his mother's side of the family. For work, he dresses like any other up-and-coming young professional; at home, he prefers comfortable casual attire. He's slightly nearsighted, and wears a pair of silver-framed spectacles to correct this problem.
He often carries a SigSauer nine-millimeter pistol in a shoulder holster, and has been known to carry other weapons should circumstances warrant.
